Resources for 2020 ACS Data Release
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Census Bureau is changing the 2020 American Community Survey (ACS) release schedule. Instead of providing the standard 1-year data products, the Census Bureau has released a series of experimental estimates from the 1-year data. This release includes a limited number of data tables for the nation, states, and District of Columbia. Census Bureau staff have created an Experimental Data web page with links to the data tables, technical documentation, and other resources for data users. The Census Bureau is also delaying the 2016-2020 ACS 5-year data release (originally targeted for December 2021) so they can continue refining their methodology to minimize the impact of nonresponse bias due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Their current plan targets a March 2022 release date.
