Sorry to be dense but what is the latest 5 year PUMS data and what year PUMAs does it use ? Can't see to locate info using google.
Thanks !
Looking in the Tigerline shapefiles FTP directory https://www2.census.gov/geo/tiger/TIGER2021/PUMA/ tl_2021_39_puma10.zip it looks like the 5 year ACS 2017-2021 5 year data (released 26 Jan 2023) uses the 2010 PUMAs. Appreciate any confirmation.
Dave
I assume that the 2021 PUMS 1-year data (released 15 Sept 2022) also uses the 2010 PUMAs -- again any confirmation appreciated.
The 2010-Census-based PUMAs (N=2,378 nationwide) will be used in products released up until end of 2022. New PUMS files released in 2023 and for the next ten years will be based on the 2020-Census-based PUMAs (N=2,487 nationwide).
The new (2020 Census) PUMAs are in TIGER, right now.
Change of topic, but still related to PUMAs:

According to the Census Bureau's "2020 Census Data Products" , the DHC (to be released this May2023) will NOT include a PUMA summary level! GRRRRR. Why not?
We could use PUMA-level tabulations of the Demographic Housing Characteristics Census 2020 file!!
