I am attempting to use "deep linking" to create a URL in Excel VBA that will call up the AFF website with a selection that includes all census tracts for the Portland Metro Area. The URL is created by concatenating the several elements and referencing it a hyperlink as shown in the example below. You should be able to click on the URL (in blue) and get results of the query. This does bring up AFF, but without the query by census tract.
I copied URL examples from the AFF Deep Linking Guide to an Excel page and find that sometimes on clicking on them they work and other times I just get AFF without the query results. What am I missing? Should it be possible to do what I am attempting?
