Hi all, I'm a university student working ahead on a final project for one of my GIS classes this semester. I'm doing a review on housing development versus various census data in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'd like to find a way to have point level data for multifamily units or housing projects so I can compare it to census tract level ACS data. I figured if I could find any sort of address level data (addresses for housing projects for example) I could geocode it. Sorry if this is an obvious question, looking for any advice I can get on how to approach this. Thanks
The Census doesn't provide point-level data (as that would disclose a lot of private data). That may be something you can get from a local source, though. That said, when you're referring to multifamily…
You might check to see if assessing data is available for the region of interest. The source often includes a high level of detail about properties and structures.
Makes sense- ideally would love any sort of upzoning data, but if I can only get my hands on subsidized that would be be fine. thank you
Great advice. will do. thank you
