Webinar: How to Access and Use Newly Released ACS State Legislative District Data

Following every decennial census, state legislative districts change to reflect the population and redistricting decisions. On March 16, 2023, the U.S. Census Bureau released new American Community Survey (ACS) social, economic, housing, and demographic statistics to reflect the 6,832 state legislative districts in 2022. For the first time since 2019, updated data for newly redistricted state legislative districts are available for all 50 U.S. states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico.

This webinar brought together U.S. Census Bureau experts and those from the Council of State Governments (CSG) and the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) to discuss the new data available, and how to access and apply them to your work.

Presenters:

Diana Elliott, Vice President, U.S. Programs, Population Reference Bureau
Gretchen Gooding, Chief, Outreach and Education Branch, American Community Survey Office, U.S. Census Bureau
Casandra Hockenberry, Program Manager, The Council of State Governments
