Hi all
I want to see if I’m interpreting this correctly.
This should link to a table of Average of gross rent as a percentage of household income past 12 months, GRPIP
https://data.census.gov/mdat/#/search?ds=ACSPUMS1Y2021&vv=*GRPIP&cv=HISP(01)&rv=RAC1P&wt=WGTP
I think this is the ACS 1 year PUMS, vintage 2021, weighting: housing unit weight. HISP on columns, RAC1P on rows, GRPIP values in table cells.
This table shows race by non-Hispanic.
The numbers in the column are
White alone 8
Black alone 21
And so on
Do these numbers mean, for example, that White alone people in New York State pay on average 8 percent of household income on rent, and Black alone people in New York State pay on average 21 percent of household income on rent?
Thanks
Gene
