Hello,
I have a question that is not directly related to ACS but pertains to SAHIE and SAIPE. Since I couldn't locate a forum specifically dedicated to SAHIE and SAIPE and could not find this information, I'm reaching out here in the hope of finding some guidance.
My question is as follows: Can the same multiplier (1.645) used for ACS data to calculate Standard Errors (SE) from Margin of Errors (MOE) be applied to SAIPE and SAHIE? In other words, is the formula SE = MOE / 1.645, commonly used for ACS data, applicable to SAIPE and SAHIE data as well?
I appreciate any advice or insights you can provide. Apologies if this is not a suitable forum for my question.
Thank you!
1.645 is the multiplier to get the 90% confidence interval assuming a normally-distributed dataset. If you want a 95% confidence interval, use 1.96. For 99% use 2.576. sphweb.bumc.bu.edu/.../bs704_confidence_intervals_print.html
