StatVentures Address Geolocation Challenge Phase 1
This week the U.S. Census Bureau launched the new StatVentures competition to innovate the ways the Census Bureau geolocates residential addresses, especially in rural and remote locations.
From March 11-April 19, we’ll be accepting concept notes that propose innovative ways to capture and maintain residential addresses that are not traditional mailing or city-style addresses. Awards for this Phase 1 competition include $10,000 per winning team, and a spot in the Phase 2 innovator cohort. Our goal is for the best ideas to ultimately become the next data sources and methods for the Census Bureau.
We will be hosting informational sessions about this challenge on one of the following dates: March 6, 21, or April 12 at 2-3 p.m. ET.
