This post is not intended to be political in nature but I wanted to ask if anyone has heard anything regarding the release of ACS products this December. What's the likelihood that they get delayed due to all the staffing changes directed by the current administration?
Thanks!
Steve
Hi Steve, did you see they just put out the release schedule? https://www.census.gov/programs-surveys/acs/news/data-releases/2024/release-schedule.html
Looks like everything is on a normal schedule!
Also, the "August Events and Updates" email just came out Tuesday, 8/5 with the unchanged timeline:
2024 ACS Release Schedule
Thanks, I had not seen that. The linked page was last updated in April, which feels like an eternity ago, given the pace of changes within the administration. No one else has mentioned anything so I'll take that as an encouraging sign that at least this year's ACS product will be released during the normal time window.
Thanks, Jon. That's encouraging confirmation
You're right the release schedule is old.
Monday they sent out an email with a prerelease webinar for the one year estimates:
