Downloading Subject Tables not through AFF?
Andrew Chiang

Hello,
My agency currently downloads Summary File data from the Census FTP site, but I am curious to know if there is any way to download Subject Table data from the Census website that's not through American Fact Finder. We're looking to download a series of subject tables at a time, but don't want to have to select individual tables at individual geographies. Does anyone know of a tool or utility that can download subject tables?
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Yep. It can be done!
It's a bit of a complicated process. You need to understand the structure of table shells, sequence numbers, etc... but that's all outlined in the technical documentation. See
www2.census.gov/.../ACS_2012_SF_Tech_Doc.pdf
And for 2012 data and documentation, see:
