The coronavirus has had wide-ranging effects on the social, economic, and physical well-being of the U.S. population. The American Community Survey (ACS) can help guide decision-making related to the COVID-19 pandemic. How has ACS data collection been impacted by stay-at-home orders? And how are data users applying ACS data to inform responses to the pandemic in hard-hit areas? In this webinar, Donna Daily, Chief of the ACS Office at the U.S. Census Bureau, will provide a brief update on ACS operations during the pandemic. Then five ACS data users will briefly summarize how they are using ACS data to inform policymakers, planners, and health officials about COVID-19-related issues in their areas.
