Looking for block group level poverty data

I know the ACS estimates are limited at the block level for poverty data, but are there any work-arounds, other reputable sources, or methods to construct a poverty estimate at the block group level?

For block groups, your option is the 5-year estimates. Tables S1701, B17001, and B17002 would be good tables for poverty estimates.
